Best Time To Visit Santorini

I am often asked, “When is the best time to travel to Santorini? Is there a rainy season?”.
Well, according to the scientists, there's a dry season that corresponds to summer (Apr-Oct) and a rainy season in winter (Nov-Mar).
My personal experience has been that the rainy season means absolutely nothing.
It is rare for the weather to rain continuously for days!!
The best weather is often found in April, May, September and October. These are also the months when you can find some good travel bargains.

Winter Weather in Santorini

Mild and wet best describes the winter climate of Santorini although it receives less rainfall annually than other nearby islands. The winter months in Santorini run from November to April. Frost is a rarity and there are relatively few instances of consistent cloudy days.
While it is possible for the weather in Santorini during the wet season to be rainy for an entire week, the days are generally sunny.
If you are an artist, poet or a person who can live on their thoughts, a Greek island in winter can be like paradise.
